The above laptop will not start. On battery only nothing happens if you hold the power button on.
On AC with the battery fitted there is no charge light.
With the AC in if I press the power button the power light comes on and a second later the hdd light comes on and all three keyboard lights come on, nothing else happens. If I press the power button for a short time the battery charge light comes on and stays on for the duration of the button press and goes out on release. If I hold the button for several seconds the battery light will stay on on release.
Removing the AC power all the lights remain on, the only way I can get the lights to go out is to remove the battery. I have stripped the unit down, reseated CPU, memory, WLAN etc. to no effect. HDD is good and the symptoms are the same with the HDD fitted or not.
