System Recovery

In the past when I have done a recovery and then tried restore my programmes and files from my recovery disc I can never get it to work, perhaps its me not knowing hou to run the recovery disc? There are four files on the disc
1. CARL-PC file folder
2.AUTO RUN setup information 124 bytes
3.MEDIALD.bin Bin File 528 bytes
4. RESTORE ICON
I would very much appreciate if any of you experts could talk me through the recovery procedure

Hi Carl,

the applications are normally installed automatically when running Vaio recovery..

I can't remember if your Vaio has a hidden recovery partition or not.. :smileyblush:

However try this click Start, then select All Programs then select Vaio Recovery Tool and finally click on Vaio Recovery utility.

Once the Vaio Recovery utility has loaded, click the Options button and select Recover Specific Applications that were pre-installed, click OK, then Yes and Yes again.

Select the application you wish to install and then click Install
