Hi,
today i read that DELL exchanges 4 Million Notebook rechargable batteries cause the could burn in some rare cases. These batteries were produced by SONY.
What you think , are now also our batteries of our VAIO Notebooks in danger ?
Today its PanaSONIc/Matsushita calling back their laptops (CF-W4G)due to overheating caused by batteries. But these ones are not from SONY.
Luckily for Sony Energy Devices - who counts 1.8 million from Apple and 4.1 million from Dell.
I am still wainting for an official statement from SONY cencerning our laptops...
I never knew Panasonic made laptops.
Terrible news anyway
Hi folks!
Update: Toshiba calls back 340000 notebook-batteries made by Sony.
Those have got the numbers PA3465U-1BAS, PA3399U-2BAS, PA3400U-1BAS, PA3465U-1BRS, PA3399U-2BRS oder PA3400U-1BRS.
More detail on their website: http://de.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?z=6&service=DE&ID=TOSH...
When will there be updates concerning the batteries in our VAIOs?
BTW, when will be there updates of the normal VAIO-pages? Some links had been new - some years ago.
I'd love to see some drives for VISTA...
Hmm it's getting worse.
Some airlines won't allow you to carry a DeLL or Apple laptop on their planes either.
SORT IT OUT SONY
Sony is calling back batteries too .. do you know what models are false?
If we are going to debate this again, at least lets try to stay within 1 thread: Here
Thanks
