Blu-Ray disc - how to play

The User-Guide that came with my Vaio FZ21S appears to have been designed to cover every machine that Sony makes as there is little specific to my model (January purchase). Sony have sent me a Spider-Man 3 Blu-Ray disc as a promotional exercise but there is nothing in the User-Guide to indicate how to play it. There is no Auto-Play and Windows Media Centre doesn't want to know. Can anyone help?

"computer" in Windows Vista doesn't even show that I have an optical drive - is this normal?

Hi Hogshatch

welcome to Club Vaio..

Your Blu Ray disc should run in Intervideo WinDVD.

Right Click on the Computer desktop icon and select Properties..

In the new System window Click on Device Manager..

Click Continue on the Use Account Window..

Expand CD/DVD drives

Do you have a warning icon, if so what is listed in the Device Status box.?

'computer' should show you have a DVD drive.
try going to control panel and look at system and device manager and see if driver problems indicated.
