Hi everyone, Im new to this so hope that I am doing it ok. I have Vaio VGN-AR61s LAPTOP. I recently installed an upgrade version of a film editing suite and although this burns Blu Ray and AVCHD the Win DVD on Vaio will no longer read the AVCHD disc. It plays ok on a stand alone Blu-Ray player but although it opens the Win BD DVD player on the Sony it goes onto STOP. Apparantly support tell me that my only solution is to copy all my data then do a re factory set. Seems a bit odd as despite my lack of technical knowledge I am puzzled as to why a simple driver re-load etc could not do it. Seeing as everything else on that programme works. Can anyone advise me if I were to purchase another brand of player would it wok on the Vaio. Many thanks
Sounds like you don't have the latest WinDVD BD to me: so check to see if you have the latest with the version on Intervideo.
Secondly, I would consider trying a demo of Power DVD, the latest version supports Blu-Ray and more importantly TruHD.
