Strangely enough, my screen sometimes suddenly turns black. No, it's no screen saver or energy saving function.
I think it must be something with the backlight of the monitor. If you look really, really carefully, you can still vaguely see the outline of my desktop background.
It happens about once per day. Today I managed for the first time to move the mouse pointer to the Start menu while the screen was almost black and I subsequently chose the option 'switch user'. After that, the screen suddenly functioned properly again.
What could this be?
