I heard that the recording  quality is not so good :slight_frown:

That is impossible since the recordings on the HDD won't play on any other device than the Bravia you have registered it with. Usually the PC does not even recognize the HDD before formatting, but even if it does, your PC is showing some files which are gibberish and useless.

What I can say is, the recording quality is really sufficient and enough for DVB-T/T2/C recordings. I can find it hard to find any difference between the actual airing live show and the recorded show quality.

Thank you, too bad the bravia registered hdd can't at least be also used for storing other files. I guess i'll rarely be using hdd recording , my pci dvb-c cinergy tuner is perfect for editing tv recordings and uploading them to youtube .
