Remote Control on 40EX523 has really narrow signal width

The remote control works fine, however you have to point it directly at the sensor for it to function, and deviation by even a few degrees and the sensor doesn't pick up the signal.

Is this usual for this model - and if not is it likely to be the remote or the sensor? (hopefully the remote)

Anyone else come across this problem?

Hi,

this is usually a sign of weak batteries, please change the batteries for fresh ones.

also make sure there is no stray sunlight on the IR sensor of the tv as this will cause it to malfunction also.
