Audio has always been poor on this phone, with an occasional screeching noise during calls. The phone sometimes doesn't ring, I assumed this was me not hearing it or it's poor signal reception, but have had the phone in front of me and see the screen light up with in coming calls but not ringing, all settings are at max. Playing music or youtube is poor as max volume is far quieter than my old Samsung Galaxy S4. Finally the ear piece speaker has failed permanently. Run through the diagnostic test, done full reset several times.
This phone has also occasionally shownsd card and sim not found since I got it, this improved after a reset but still shows up even though it does work.
I use google maps for navigation but it often thinks Im elsewhere and my location turns grey, often I have to restart the phone to use navigation.
I am on 3 network who told me to just download a different navigation app. The 3store were less helpful about the other issues, suggesting that it is the way it work's. (with exception of the ear piece speaker failure which finally occurred yesterday and I've not been in contact with them yet, exhausting other checks myself first).
This is my first experience of the Sony brand and I'm disappointed massively, still using my three year old Samsung on another number and find it more reliable still!
My work colleague has had so many boot up failures with his M4 aqua and several replacements that his provider has upgraded him to a different phone. I am of the opinion that this phone was a troubled design that is not fit for purpose (based on it not performing it's basic operations) I hope to be proven wrong!
