VGNBZ21VN Finger print sensor & FN keys

Hi all, I have recently done a clean instal of win7 to my bz21vn. all has gone well except the FN keys no longer work. also following installation of win7 service pack 1 the finger print sensor has stopped working, saying finger prints are not enrolled. they were and were working fine pre service pack instal. when looking at bio metric devices it claims finger prints are enrolled. I can re-enroll finger prints but then get another password error on saving / closing. on checking device manager the only issue seems to be  a "base system device", which i can find no further information on.....

can anyone help?

I think you should go on this link http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/updates/index.aspx?m=VGN-BZ21VN&l=en_GB and then just download the necessary updates. I am telling you this because I have upgraded my french Win7 Pro to UK-english Win7 Ultimate before and I also got the same results. I solved it only by installing the original softwares and then updating them to the newest ones. Hope this info will help you solve your problem.
