VGN-FZ21Z Blu ray playback problem with HDMI to LCD tv

Hi,

I seem to have a problem when I connect my Vaio VGN-FZ21Z with a HDMI cable to watch a Blu Ray disc
on my Sony LCD TV. I have WinDVD BD for Vaio pre installed on my computer. I also tried the buttoms "F7" where I should be able to switch between the screens, the one of the computer or the LCD, didn't succeed neither.
Are there any persons having the same problem? How did you guys manage to solve this issue?
I am sending this thread as the search engine doesn't seem to work. Thanks for all of your suggestions in before hand.

Hi eroldelikus and welcome.

Have you installed the latest update to WinDVD BD 8.0.9.429?

What happens exactly when you try to play a BD disc? Do you get any error messages?

Hi Blencogo,
Thank you !
I have installed every update each time the automatic search engine of Sony showed one. To be sure, I have been searching which version I had but unfortunatelly I don't see where to find it? I am at the office right now and don't have a blu ray disc by the hand, maybe I should insert one and have acces to all the functionalities to be able to see the version. Is there another way to see this?
To answer your question: the message I receive is, the device used doesn't allow me to watch it, this message I received it on my TV screen from which I understand that the connection is right but still somehow I can't see the film? Also, FYI as well my TV is not full HD but can show upto 1080i instead of 1080p when I use my home SONY Blu Ray BDP-S300 player. Hope this will help you helping me.
