Vaio updates.

Does anyone find the Vaio updates usefull for your laptop? or are they a hindrance?

They are usually essential but the automatic Vaio Update service has been unreliable recently and has been offering updates that do not apply to your model or are out of date.

If I were you, I would manually install all audates direct from the download page for your model here: -

http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/updates/index.aspx?m=VGN-FW56E&l=en_GB

and ignote Vaio Update unless you are sure they are designed for your model.

Thank you for your advise i will manually update from now on, i don't suppose you know why my Vaio has suddenly gone slow when i turn it on? its fine when it eventually starts up, i hav'nt altered anything i don't understand why its started doing this cheers, Howard.
