Dear people
My Sony Vaio PCG-71311M - VPCEB3J0E screen went 75% black today at work. Thankfully, the left remaining quarter allowed me to switch the laptop off, and reboot it. Once I turned it on, it worked perfectly fine.
I then turned it off to cool off for a few minutes, and when I tried turning it on the screen remained black completely. Once rebooted - it worked fine.
Should I be worried? Should I go to a shop and try to get it repaired? I don't like living with the possibility that my screen will give out at any given moment. The laptop is 2,5 years old, and it hasn't been smashed or gravely damaged.
Any tips or information on what may have caused this, please let me know.
Thanks
Alex
Hi amikheeva the problem you are having could indicate a backlight or screen problem, if you able to try connecting your vaio to an external monitor when you next encounter the problem.
