I sent my Vaio VGN-FZ11S for repair around two months ago because quite often when I moved the screen, the backlight flickered and often turned off completely. It's been fine since until early this week when I noticed the screen flickered slightly when I opened the lid, I didn't think much of it at the time but it has occurred a few times since and tonight flickered quite a bit.
I'm going to ring Sony up on Monday and ask them to pick it up for repair again but I'm a bit concerned, as it doesn't flicker every time the screen is moved, Sony may not see it flicker and say there's no problem (last time it got to the point where every time the screen moved it flickered).
The warranty runs out on Wednesday. I just hope they will take it in under warranty.
I'm sorry Sony but I won't be buying another of your computers, I've had more trouble with this laptop than with any of my computers put together over the past 12 years. I've also got faint lines running across the screen to that I'm going to get them to look at as well.
