Can anyone help. I have an oldish Sony Vaio PCG-GRT896SP laptop its always been rubbish to be honest with many faults so ive finally given up on it and sold it as faulty on ebay to someone for parts. I need to wipe my data off and re set it to factory settings before sending it to the buyer. I have the original recovery disk but when I try and use it the menu pops up from the CD, I select to reset the system, it restarts the computer but then asks for my password and restarts as normal without then doing the system restore and the menu doesnt pop back up or anything. Can anyone help?
