New 3D films vs older Corel WinDVD version

I have been trying to watch the new Tintin movie in 3D on my Vaio (VPCF21Z), but the WinDVD program (propably the 2010 version) shuts down.

There seems to be no upgrades and Corel won´t give support for OEM:s...

Do I have to buy and install a newer version of WinDVD in order to watch the latest 3D releases?

Any suggestions out there?..

There are WinDVD BD 2D/3D updates on the Vaio Support website for your model dated 06 March 2012.  The update appears to be available on Vaio update also.

the .024 update got me through the film menu - in 3D, but then the Bluray-player simply stopped and wouldn´t proceed with the actual film. One step forward though... Thanks again!
