I should think your VAIO came pre-installed with Norton Internet security? If this is the case then it is blocking all known advertisments from the internet.
To disable double click its icon in the system tray, click ad blocking and click turn off. All advertisments should now appear on all websites.
Hope that was helpful, although why do you want adverts on? Personally i cant stand them and i love the satisfaction of knowing peoples adverts cant get through.
