This is a fairly common problem with Vaio's these days. Contact Vaio-Link and tell them you want free replacement keytops preferably for the lifetime of the notebook. They seem to be using some cheap keyboards these days

Hello, havent been here in a long time on my second vaio now.

Anyway, have had a similar thing but i tried to clean the keys, with great care, causing certain ones to break their mounts (!) and pop off. How annoying, the puter is out of warranty so just wondering how I should go about getting a new keyboard for my VGN-A217M?

You should be able to ask for 5 keys to replace the mounts, I'm not sure what Sony would say but it's worth asking.

Otherwise you're lumbered with getting one from nexttronics.com
