I have twenty years of Sony camcorder tapes to transfer to computer and a player with IEEE 1394 (i.Link / Firewire) output. Does anybody know of a laptop computer in the current VAIO range with an IEEE 1394 (i.Link / Firewire) input?

It has become a rare feature these days!

I think only the performance laptop VPCF-Series and the all-in-one VPCL-Series Vaios have an iLink connection.

The everyday laptops in the VPCE-Series do have an ExpressCard34 slot for which you can buy a firewire ExpressCard.
