Help about updates and ftp!!!!

Does anyone of you know hao to ....have the updates from the site of sony vaio........but not with ftp .........................because I have a notebook vaio with vista and , it doesn't open the ftp files..............

Are you able to download via the VAIO Update Utility: double click on the Vaio Update link in your system tray and follow the instructions. (see left icon in the image below)

Check your firewall isn't blocking port 21
