Good morning.
I have just unpacked new PC as above, succussfully created recovery discs, spent a day installing updates and software and then decided to take a full hard disc backup using Windows 7 backup/restore facility.
I get error message 0x81000019 to wit: not enough memory on the destination partition (or words to that - something about checking VSS and SPP whatever that is.
The destination drive is an A-DATA SH93 USB hard drive, with about 350 Gb of spare capacity, and the drive to be archived currently uses no more than 40 Gb.
Any ideas?
I then tried by installing Nova Backup version 11.1 and using that to create a backup to the same destination. This software required a reboot during the backup process, at which point it hangs.
I managed to get what I think is a full backup using the backup utility built into BitDefender Total Security 2010, but I feel nervous and don't fancy restoring that while the other methods seem so dicey.
Thanks for any insight.
