fz38m noise level. Posible to reduce?

My brand new vaio vgn-fz38 is to loud for my taste. Is it possible to reduce the fan speed?

However, modern CPUs and Graphics do generate more and more heat so laptop fans are being speeded up to cope with this increased heat. Turning the fans down may result in the components failing (particularly the NVIDIA GeForce 84/85/86 GPUs).
