Hi friends,, Need some help,, loaded up Detective Driver today, and it is showing that 19 of my drivers need updating!! Now, I am not technically minded, and wondering is this easy to do.. do I just go to each one and update the driver or what!! Any advice please, before I mess things up. Thanks.
Hi carlowlass,
My advice to you is IF IT AIN'T BROKE DONT FIX IT.
Forget what Detective Driver says - these sites all have an agenda and don't know Vaios.
Download and install any driver updates for your model on Vaio Update. If an update is not on Vaio Update it has not been tested on Vaios and is usually the shortcut to a BSOD crash.

Thanks Blengoco,,, Where do I go to find Vaio updates is it on this site somewhere???
It should be under Start -> All Programs -> Vaio Update 3 -> Go to VAIO Web Support

It should be under Start -> All Programs -> Vaio Update 3 -> Go to VAIO Web Support

Please, there is something wrong, i have a VAIO VGN-SZ1VP, and the driver update situation is very bad,
there are only 2 updates for 2008, some drivers are the same of 2006 like the Video nVidea driver.
But there are "unsupported" driver of this month ...
Protecror Suite is the release 5.3 now the 5.8.2 is relleased from UPEK the 5.3 support only Firefox 1 and ie6 and now we are at release 3 fot FF ad Ie8 it is in RC1 ... this it means that it is usefull only to proctet the boot ...
