Downgrading VGN-CR31S/W to windows XP

After spending hours on sony's support hotline and surfing the net, I'm desperate... They say there is a chance that VGN-CR21S drivers might work, but I can't access them with my CR31S serial and the sony support team can't access them either

I need the following XP drivers for my vaio VGN-CR31S/W:

-audio device at HD Audio-Bus
-BCM2046 Bluetooth Device
-bulk memory controller
-modem device at HD Audio-Bus
-videocontroller (vga-compatible)

Can anyone help me? ... please!!

Hi easycaro and welcome to Club Vaio.

Sony only provided XP drivers for the VGN-CR11/CR19 models. CR21 & CR31 models are not supported.

However, I think the Sony CR11 XP Drivers will work for all the devices on your model. Have a look here: -

But you will find that you cannot get a CR-Series Vaio to work properly with XP. The CR-Series is just not designed with XP in mind. The following will not work because no Utilities are available for any CR model: -

1. Function Keys
2. Screen Brightness
3. Special Keys
4. AV Mode

The lack of a screen brightness adjustment is quite a big problem.
