can anyone offer any help with my pcg k315z please?

my dvd drive (DW-D56A) suddenly stopped working yesterday, while burning cd's, it now will not recognise any cd-rw's. it has however recognised some normal purchased audio cd's but not others which leads me to think that the drive hasnt simply broken, anyway if someone could offer any help/ideas to get it working again they would be greatly appreaciated

Have a look at the things you can try in THIS RECENT THREAD

However, the DW-D56A drive is prone to failures of this sort and my guess is that it will need replacement.

hmm, its weird cos ive tried a few dvds and they all work fine. anyway looks like the extended warrenty was a good idea,
