Broken catches on Notebook.

Hi everyone. I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question, but I would be very grateful for any advice. I have a VAIO Notebook and both of the catches that keep it closed have recently snapped off. I think there must be some sort of manufacturing defect as I haven't had it long and have no other problems with it. Could you tell me if this is fixable, and if it would be covered by the warranty? Also, I use my laptop on a daily basis and would be lost without it, so could anyone tell me how long repairs take?

If you contact Vaio -Link they will tell you if the repair is covered by your warranty.

Alternativly you may be able to souce the parts yourself from here and find a PC repairer in your area to fit the parts for you.
