Guys, i have installed Mobile Meter, and it says that my GRz 615M which has been on for 4 hours has a CPU temp of 72 deg centigrade, and an hdd temp of 56 deg centigrade. is this normal? Sorry guys, about the other thread, internal error at Sony!!
Yes it is. I have the same model VAIO you have and yes 72'c is fine. Mine had a problem with the heat sink and got up to 90'c and would shut down. I sent it back to Sony and they fixed it, it took weeks to get it back:smileycry:
Mine is having just that issue. When launching some heavy tasks, it moves from 72 degrees to 90 and it shuts down. I need to send it again to Sony. Grrrr...
This morning I opened my GRV616G and I cleaned all that dust between the fan and the heat sink. Now temperatures moved from 70 degrees (with peaks to 80-84 degrees) to 47 degrees (and peaks to 58-62 degrees).
I didn't expect that partial obstruction were able to lift temperatures more than 20 degrees!
Since this morning my Vaio became enjoyable again: before cleaning the heat sink, the vent loud sound didn't let me listen music while working.
