5.1 audio from blu-ray player software (AR51M)

Hi all,

I hope I havent duplicated anything since the search functiontion is down.

I'm having trouble with the blu-ray player software, it doesnt have 5.1 surround highlighted as an option. The only options I am able to choose are the 2.1 or headphones, the others are dimmed out.

I have updated the sound drivers etc. Am I being stupid in that since it is the bundled software, it doesnt have 5.1 and I will have to buy the full version??? nothing seems to point to that.

welcome to Club VAIO..

As far I as I am aware the only selectable output options available are either headphones or notebook speakers..

However another forum member has stated that he used have the ability to select Dolby Virtual Speaker (to simulate a 5.1 audio system on 2 speakers) use the following link to view the thread: Problem with last update of WinDVD BD (8.0.9.429)
