Why is the serial number wrong?

Hi. I've just bought a Sony Bravia KDL-40CX523 and I want to register it. I bought it from a regular electronic store (just so you think it's not stolen :smileywink:). But when I try to register it says that my serial number is wrong. What is wrong?

Hi,

first off check the serial number on the box matches the one on the tv, if it does contact Sony support for further assisance,

if the serial numbers do not match then contact the store from where you purchased it and take it up with them.
