Hi, I have a Sony Bravia kdl52x3500. Just before the warranty expired the TV started switching itself off intermittently, sometimes after a couple of hours viewing, sometimes 1/2 an hour. It seemed to switch itself off completely, not in to standby mode, and then we have been unable to switch it back on again until a few hours later. There is no blinking stanby light, the TV is completely dead.
Then on a couple of occasions has it switched itself on! This has now been going on for some time and the TV is now out of warranty.My hubby is an electrical engineer and after pulling the TV to bits and testing different components decided that the problem was connected to the UPS, that it is possibly a faulty relay switch causing the problem. Is anyone aware of a similar problem to this? Or, do you think it could be a different problem?
