Hey, I've had this TV now since well since back in 2009 I think..
It has almost always been turning off after two hours of not touching the remotecontroler, even if I go into settings and switch it off, the auto sleep function, it still continues to go off. It has done that for a long time, I don't remember it doing it when I bought the TV.
It's really annoying now, since I'm using the TV now as a secondary screen to my comp, and the whole turning off thing when gaming or watching a movie.
Has anyone encountered this before? if so, what would the solution to disable this be?
Thanks
Hi,
took a quick look at the specs, and the only thing i can see that would do it is the Idle tv stanby, set that to off, its found in Eco settings, unless of coarse we talking about one and the same thing here.
Hey.
Yeah it is kinda the same thing we are talking about.
anyway, my TV just broke today, a 1000 pixle mess ups, because I got a bit mad today and threw my wallet over my shoulder and hit the tv by accident.
So guess I'll fix it by buying a new TV.
Sorry for wasting your time.
Hi,
you have not wasted time my friend, but i'll tell you what, that made me laugh!, i dont have enough fingers on both hands to tell you how many people i know who have done this, perhaps you should buy one of the new ones with the Gorilla glass fronts and see how that holds up!, last three funny mishaps were, a Wii controller playing bowling!, a wi fi dongle thrown across the room that bounced off the floor, and of all things, a coke bottle!, god!, what was in the wallet?, gold nuggets!
Hey.
Yeah well... That isn't the first time I do something stupid which ends up costing more money in the end. Tried that and done that. Had hoped it was the last time, last time. Guess I'll have to hope this time is the last time.
Nahh.. no gold nuggets here, which I were that lucky. Only lots of small useless coins which happens to stack up over a certain amount of time, because I find it difficult to spend them in stores when it's quicker just to use paper instead. So it was quite a heavy one.
Well, Maybe you could help me with picking a new TV, I'm kinda in doubt what to get. been looking at a 46 EX720 bravia tv. But if it's the right one, in that price range. Well definately wouldn't mind buying something high tech and new to the market, but my money are kinda limited atm.
