Screen jumping when watching HD on 40Ex503

I have successfully enjoyed my TV for the last year, however I have recently noticed that when watching HD channels the screen jumps every so often almost a case of re-alignment or re-sizing of screen.

It is beginning to bug me as I am unsure if this is a TV fault or Signal failing on HD.  Normal digital channels are fine.

Please can someone advise if this is a known problem or do i have to speak to the service team.

Appreciation in advance

The picture problem is caused by all broadcasters on the Freeview HD platform (not just the BBC) adopting "dynamic switching" between interlaced and progressive pictures within a programme. This also caused an audion dropout during switching which Sony fixed with a firmware update. The picture switching issue can be solved by ensuring that your panel settings are exactly the same for both interlaced pictures and progressive pictures. Take a look at this thread for a more detailed explanation:

There is an issue with the way that HD channels are being broadcast the BBC HD channel is affected the worse, Sony are blaming BBC but the issue i have is this seems to be affecting Sony TV's more than any other brand, so really it is a fault that lies with Sony and we all need to complain so that they can at least try a firmware update to resolve the problem, in the mean time if you set your display to normal or minus 1 this helps, do not put on full pixel as this only enhances the problem, i hope this helps but do complain to Sony...
