Recording From TV to HDD - Can I Use an SSD?

I'm about to order an external hard drive in order to record from my KDL-32WD751BU but have found mixed information about hardware, some sources say it must be a traditional platter style hard drive, others say a solid state drive will work. Can anyone confirm this please?

Yes, you can - however, it's not officially recommended nor supported.
