Good news...just wrapping up field testing of a new service which should go live across Europe on the evening of Tuesday 8th November. This will be backwardly compatible for both 2010 and 2011 devices ( Blu-ray and BRAVIA). Instructions on how to force refresh content can be found in the BRAVIA FAQ on the front page.
Won't say what yet...:smileywink: but its a good one. I'll drop a clue on Sunday night and then announce it here first on Monday night before the press release goes out on Tuesday.
Have a good weekend everyone..

Is this update anything to do with Google TV?
There are various mixed messages around on the net as to whether this upgrade (Google or not) affects all Bravia TV's that have internet video - can you confirm for definate that any Bravia that has an ethernet port (or wireless dongle) and can currently access iPlayer & YouTube, will get the upgrade? For example, will this 2010 model get it: KDL40ex713?
hello
will my smp-n100 will have the update?:smileyhappy:
thanks

No - nothing to do with Google..
Thanks
Hi
The only 'connected' product that won't get it is the PVR as although it has iPlayer, it doesn't run the BRAVIA Internet Video platform.
So yes the SMP will get it ( this is basically a Blu-ray player without the Blu-ray drive), the EX713 will get it and all other 2010 or 2011 BRAVIA Internet Video supported products.
Hope this is clear!
Thanks
Is it 4OD or itv player that would be a great add on
Today is Monday!
yeah but as Catmambo said, he will announce it monday NIGHT!!
Am I the only one who is disappointed that all this new service is just another music video service? exciting would have been Itv or c4 catch up. Perhaps even an overhaul of how the Internet tv service looks...
(goes off to cry in a corner)
