kdl-40nx723 - jpg

Hi!

Does anyone know the reason why kdl-40nx723 does not support in jpeg format YCbCr4:4:4. When I use widely used Photoshop CS5 jpeg images are stored in this format. This must be error in TV program, because older models support it.

When this error is corrected?

I cann't convert all my photos to another format if the only reason is that new bravia model doesn't support de facto standard

Sure someone posted a better workaround - but you could either stream via DLNA, or if its just a few, I batch opened them and simply resaved them in MS paint in Win 7 (of all things) and it was fine with them after that.

Thanks

Hi,

apparently any photos edited or otherwise will not work on the tv, thats all the information given, no explanation to date to say why or for a fix.

Hi!

Of course it is possible to convert photos to accepted format using some program (for example Riot), but I have about 35 000 photos!

Very much disk space is needed and always when I get new photos I have to convert them. Sounds silly.

I wonder if Sony has something against Adobe to do this, because it should not be big task to correct it even when it has worked fine in older Bravia versions! I'm now very disappointed. Other features in the TV are exellent, but this ....
