KDL-40EX520 - how do I get additional widgets

I have just purchased the KDL-40EX520 and currently on tv it is only possible to see the Facebook and Twitter widgets.  Per the manual there seem to a lot of available widgets but I cannot find any way to update the list on the TV.  My TV is connected to the internet and I have updated the software, etc.  Can anyone help?

A second issue I am having is that I have also tried to connect a computer to the TV.  Unfortunately the computer does not have an HDMI socket so I have had to do this via the VGA socket with an extra cable from the headphone socket to the Red/White plugs on the back.  However, I do not seem to be able to get any sound when I do this.  I have a second computer with an HDMI socket and when I use this there is no problem getting sound through the TV.  Does anyone know what the problem with the first computer may be?

I was on here looking for info on additional widgets myself, so I'm unable to help yo on that question.

For the audio issue you have, below the PC connector ( VGA input) on the TV you will see a similar socket to the headphone output on your laptop, you can connect using a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo jack audio cable. The sockets I think you are using are for the AV2/Component input.
