Channel keeps changing with another tv's remote

hi,

Iv got a sony tv down stairs and up stairs i have a panasonic tv, i have the sky hd box linked with a magic eye and a hdmi lead so i can watch sky up stairs.

the problem is when i either turn the tv off or change av channel it happens on both tv's how can i stop this?

I do not think any Tv could be affected by the other's remote being on different floors. One possibilties is that they are both configured to have the HDMI CEC (bravia sync on SONY, whatever name on Pana) functionalities on so i.e. whenever you switch on the sky box they both switch on the HDMI input.  If this is the case switch it off in the relevant HDMI menu.
