Hi, considering getting a 32we613 but read it still runs Opera rather than Android, Google etc. Is this correct in the UK?
concerned this will quickly be outdated/ unsupported? I see videos for Panasonic TX32FS500B and this has a much slicker modern feel to apps etc.
any knowledge on the os, availability of apps, future support etc. Would be appreciated before I decide to buy
thanks

Hi @AdrianRoade All value models are Linux (not Android) and are fully supported. If you want a new Sony Android TV I’m afraid you will need a larger screen and to spend two or three times more.
Thanks
So theoretically if a new streaming service like Netflix was launched and successful their app could be added in the future - try to see how futureproof this TV would be!!

Hi @AdrianRoade Nobody can guarantee that, even on an Android TV. Linux is still fully supported on the 2019 range (XG70). The TV you are looking at is a 2017 model. Everything depends on agreements between Sony and the new service providers before the firmware is updated.

Thanks again
yes saw it was a 2017 model but couldn’t see a newer 32” smart model. Is this the newest 32”?
