that's a general test across ALL Xperias, it does not mean that your Play it's HDMI capable.

on the prototypes they had hdmi I own one. the sister phone the arc also had hdmi, the cpu does have an outport for hdmi but it is not wired to a chipset. it was removed for some reason in the final development
