Front camera is not working.

I recently bought the Xperia m4 aqua dual as I was pretty impressed by its stats on paper but there are a few issues that have to be solved. Firstly I cant use my front camera. There is no icon for the front camera even in the camera application and also in other apps like retrica. I tried clearing the data but it wasnt effective enough. It would be really helpful if you could Solve this as soon as possible.

i have the same problem with the front camera of my new m4 aqua, it looks like it's not a hardware problem.

This is not a new problem, i've read comment from july 2015 and Sony does not have a solution.

this was the first time i bought a mobile from sony and certainly it's also the last time.

Let them lose !  We can all see they dont care about all of us complaining here .... or maybe they just know about this and have nothing to say .... going to wait for marshmallow and see if it fixes it ... if not im gonna replace it with the warranty (with another brand of course ).

hi i tried the following things adviced in the support forum however the front camera icon is still not visible and the front camera  does not work for any apps e.g snapchat, instagram etc. i also realised that the 'tapped camera' app does not appear anywhere on the apps, i would like to ask if there a possible way to install the app and if there is another solution to fixing my front camera. thank you

Hi,
So, i have a problem with my M4 Aqua. I cant use the front camera. I tought It would be a temporary thing, but Im not being able to fix It.
When I'm on the the camera app and click to change to the front camera, the screen goes Black for a few seconds and a message appears saying "Error:Camera not Available."
Its not only in the camera app, a cant use the front camera in any apps, like Instagram or Snapchat.
I've tried to clear the camera app data and reboot, but the problem remains, and even on safe mode i cant use the front camera.
Any suggestions on how to solve this problem are welcome.

Hi. I have the same problem. I have sony xperia m5 which I bought two days ago. At the first evening the front camera was working, but then I started to have problems with it. When I change to the front camera the screen becomes black and I got the message of an error. I have the front camera icon so it's not about that. When I go to apps there's not a chance to push all, but it goes to all already and then when I go the camera there isn't an option clear all. Instead there are disable and force stop, are these the same things? I'm really dissappointed, I haven't yt used my phone at all and I bought it especially because of it's cameras and now I can't even use the other of them. I'm really pissed about this, what can I do?
