I recently bought the Xperia m4 aqua dual as I was pretty impressed by its stats on paper but there are a few issues that have to be solved. Firstly I cant use my front camera. There is no icon for the front camera even in the camera application and also in other apps like retrica. I tried clearing the data but it wasnt effective enough. It would be really helpful if you could Solve this as soon as possible.

My daughter has sorted the problem out I dont know what she did but it worked and she is only 7 years old lol, I think that it could have been a setting that was not correct. Thank you for the advice.

So, clear data, clear cache, factory reset, phone repair with Xperia Companion is not working.

That means, probably, that the problem is hardware.

I have e2333 with same problem, date of manufacture: 16w09.

i ve same problem. the problems are in briefly:

- in super "aoutomatic" and "manuel" mode: there is no front camera icon

- in "AR" modes, there is an icon, when i tapped it phone turn to black screen, then go back to rear camera again with no error message.

- in sound photo there is an icon, when i tapped it, quits camera app.

i ve done all list below, but it is still not working:

- Settings > Apps > All > tapped Camera > tapped Clear data > rebooted the phone

- Boot my device in safe mode

- Factory reset my phone

- Factory reset my phone with erase all data

- Perform a system repair using PC Companion

- Install third party camera app (Open Camera)

whatever i do, still doesnt work! what should i do?

OK , it looks like Sony is not giving us any feedback or at least let us know if this will be solved with some future update , it is clearly a problem with the software , i also tryed everything like clearing data , safe mode, repair , nothing worked , i still can't use my front camera ... in some other topic about this issue they say it is solved and they didnt solved .... Some Sony support staff should answer to this topic asap ... there are many of us with the same issue !

My front(selfie) camera has a problem.when I use it to take a shot,it becomes noisy and some errors happens,and my phone stops working, so I should exit the camera.
What shall I do?
(main camera works without any problem)
