Front camera is not working.

I recently bought the Xperia m4 aqua dual as I was pretty impressed by its stats on paper but there are a few issues that have to be solved. Firstly I cant use my front camera. There is no icon for the front camera even in the camera application and also in other apps like retrica. I tried clearing the data but it wasnt effective enough. It would be really helpful if you could Solve this as soon as possible.

Hello, RESTARTING IN SAFE MODE WORKS, but you should do this...

after you've entering safe mode open camera application, make one foto with rear camera (your front camera button is still missing) and delete this recent foto. Then restart your phone to normal mode. You will see, that camera with selfie button is OK.

This helps in case, if some application (wiber in my case) uses front camera in its setting to work with.

Bought the m4 yesterday, updated the sistem and now I can't use my front camera at all . How can I solve the problem ???,

Hi my front and back camera dont work after updating to android 5.0 if I press on camera it just open up black screen and close again, ive tried clearing camera data in the apps rebooting in safe mode charging my phone for 1-2 hours but the problem still precist can anybody help me ive even downloaded other camera apps nothing wants to work the othe apps tell me that the camera cant be found.

I had the same problem recently. After several messages with online chat they advised me to return for repair. They're working on it at the moment. Hope it doesn't take too long 🙂 seems a lot of users were also affected when this update was released.

yah me too my sony experia m5 dual the front camera of it isn't detected on the camera app nor on messenger it is really pissing me off..........

I bought my M4 Aqua last week and yesterday front camera icon suddenly disappeared. I tried safe mode booting, clearing cache and PC Companion but problem still remains. I don't have time for go to Local Support. Any solution except those? Will marshmallow update fix that problem?
