The upgrade size for Kitkat is approximately how much

I had to sit in a cybercafe for an hour with no success.The Sony Companion software just says downloading and it doesn't display any size. Now how are we going to decide in advance what 3G pack we are going to activate in order to successfully download this update at home. We may run out of credit for the Internet usage unknowingly. Everyone cannot just use the Internet any how they want. Sony Companion should give some indication regarding the download size (not the just the percentage).

Can anyone tell me what's the approximate size for the upgrade from start till end and why this is not possible using Over The Air method.

My suggestion is to use a PC as its a large file (500MB+)

Thanks for the reply. I also contacted Xperia recently they say it's somewhat 700-800MB.

But the question is is resumeable download possible? I know there is no resume button while it shows preparing for the software message but i do remember when i was installing something on my windows suddenly the power went and on the second day i could resume it even though there was no resume button to click on. Is this also possible in the case of upgrade via Sony Companion? Please do assist me. I don't have anything besides my 3G dongle to upgrade sorry. And 3G can fail anytime.

if it fail, then you will have to use a PC or a Mac to repair your phone
