I don't think the SR78 has a firewire/iLink socket - so you cannot connect by firewire.
The SR78 uses an analogue AV connection for analogue transfer or USB for digital transfer.
What are you trying to do?

Correct, no Firewire/i.Link capabilities on the SR series Handycam so A/V and USB are the only output connections available to use.

I was hoping to use my Nero software and download straight to it, then navigate the camcorder via the computer. Iam currently downloading the clips then exporting them into Nero, then editing from there. I presume this is the only way for me to be able to use my Nero software?
