Hi
I am trying to get the perfect picture on my Bravia KD55XH9505 (2020). I downloaded the test chart onto a USB stick and input via the TV & Blu Ray player. On the Blu Ray the chart could not be found. On the TV it brought up the Test Chart but only in Photo. No matter what I couldn't view it in Custom mode or any other for that matter. I viewed the Sony video from Nov 20 on how to do all this but nothing seemed to match my TV or the controller, which does not have the 'Action Button', or any obvious way to play the chart interactively to make the adjustments.
It must be !! Help would be gratefully received.
Solved! Go to Solution.
In the description is clearly stated "For our latest Android TVs please playback the file via DVD or Blu-ray player since you cannot change picture settings using the Album app." Why you can't open the file on the bluray player is a different issue.
The Action Menu button is now called Options/Quick Settings and looks like a cogwheel (like settings icon on the screen).
Hope this helps!

Many thanks. Andrew
Hey @2939andy,
If you've found a solution, make sure to mark the thread as resolved so others can find the answer easily ^^

Hi - I tried the solutions but could not access the controls. All the instructions I have been given and on-line, just didn't seem to match what I was seeing in my settings. In the end I Reset to factory and settled for the out of box results.
Apology for not coming back and updating.
regards
Andy
Can you share the info you're using as a reference here?
Maybe someone here has tried it and managed to get it to work despite the differences you saw.

Hi JD
I first used a Flash Drive, as suggested by Sony. Nothing came from that. So I download the test card to the TV instead. The Youtube video I viewed, showed a drop down menu on the top left of the image that enabled adjustments. However, and like the Flash drive image, I couldn't find any way to adjust the image, despite clicking around it. So I went to Settings, but again no options I could find to do so either.
I am sure its me and its user error, but after a couple of hours I gave up, reset, and bar some minor picture adjustments, have left it at that.
There was a time when all a user could do was change the picture to black & white, then increase colour til it suited the viewer. Happy days. maybe there should be an interactive class on using today's Sony TV's!!
Thanks again for your help which is appreciated.
Well, if you felt like taking another shot at it, Sony has a "definitive guide" that you can check.
Hope it helps!
