Hi all,
Are Sony Android TVs capable of including web streams into the regular favourites/ channel list?
It's useless to switch to an additional IPTV app when zapping between my favourite channels from native tuners and the web.
Currently, I'm using an enigma2 receiver where I can mix my favourites with tv channels from tuners and web streams.
Thanks,
Darkzun
Hi Darkzun,
To my knowledge this isn't possible.
Cheers
Peter
One idea could be to create a html file containing links to your m3u files, and use atvlauncher or tv apprepo to create the icon for the favourites bar
It is possible to make a web shortcut to a m3u-file using the TV_AppRepo and follow https://youtu.be/tYye9VQ-0PQ to add it to the favourites bar. You can also use several m3u-files inside thje one m3u-file, thus only needing to create one icon on the favourites bar.
Thanks for your suggestions, but you may misunderstood what I meant with favourites.
I'm not talking about the app favourites bar, what I try to find is including a web stream into the channel list.
So when channel no. 1 is MTV and channel no. 2 is CNN, I would like to have channel no. 3 a web stream, like: http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/gtv-videos-bucket/sample/ForBiggerBlazes.mp4. And I can zap between the channels with the remote, without going back to Android TV widgets etc.
Sorry, have not got a clue about Channel lists on Android TV. How did you program MTV to button 1 on the remote?
You can move channels to favourites using the Sony Channel Editor:

Thank you Darkzun! Very interesting - will have a look at this. Doubt that it will solve your issue, but will let you know if I conclude otherwise.
