Can’t factory reset the tv

I have a KDL-43W807C, and was going to give it to my nephew. So I thought I’d factory reset it from the menu, however it turned off and now does nothing. The LED light at the bottom is white and narrow and doesn’t respond to any remote control commands or any commands via the buttons on back of the TV. 

When I tried to do the factory reset by holding the power button and volume down button and then remove the power and reconnect it, it doesn’t get going.

I wait for the green light, after it comes on, I let go of the buttons at the back, and the Sony screen comes up, and then it just switches off again with the narrow LED displayed in white at the bottom.

Sony won’t help, and i want to give my mum the tv so she can have a better viewing experience and I’m sure it isn’t that hard to resolve the issue, I just can’t do it. 

Can anyone please help?!

If this doesn't bring back the TV to life I fear that something is broken. In this case please contact support.

Tried that numerous times. Can’t get to the menu as tv doesn’t start up, so had to hold try the buttons on back of tv method

Have you tried navigating using the TV buttons and checking whether you're able to hear or see anything?

Tried this, nothing happens.

The screen remains black like its off, and the LED light at the bottom just stays narrow and white, no flicker or anything like its trying to do anything. Changed remote batteries and tried it as well.

Thanks, tried it, but no joy. Regret buying a Sony tv now. All I did was do a factory reset before giving it to a family member and now it doesn’t work, disappointed
