I am unable to open the BBC Iplayer app on my Sony ZD9 - there is a blank screen and then the error message: "An error has occurred. Please try again later."
I think this issue may have persisted ever since I downloaded the latest firmware (Version 9 / Android security patch level 5 August 2020 / Kernel version 4.9.125
I have tried restarting the TV and force stopping the Sony Select app as well as clearing the cache on it. Restarting my router has not solved the issue either - network seems OK as Netflix works.
Any advice would be welcome

Start by making sure that you have this software version: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-zd9_z9d-series/kd-75zd9/downloads/0001708...
Also try the following:
-Home- Settings- Apps - YouView- Clear cache, then clear data.
-Do the same with YVservice host.
-Enable YouView (Home- Settings- Channel set up- YouView Setup- Enable YouView then follow the on screen instructions.
-Soft reset by holding the power button on the remote for 5 secs.
Then try again. Let me know if that worked.
