Hi all
I have an AF8 and currently have my Sky Q box and audio system going into ports 2 and 3 and my 4k player going into port 4. My understanding is that in practical terms I am not reducing the capacity of the 4k player by doing this as the main difference with the 'full.fat' ports is frame rates, which is unlikely to be an issue on 4k discs. Is this right?
Thanks! Is port 1 also capable of delivering HDR? As I say, I had been running the UHD player directly into the tv via port 1 and having the sound system running via the port 2 ARC connection. I just tried switching this, so that the UHD player is connected into port 2 and the sound system is connected to the UHD player, but this doesn't seem to be working. The sound system previously worked for the sky box and xbox as well as the UHD player. If I am not losing HDR quality by having the UHD going directly into the tv, I'll just put it back as it was -- but it would frustrate me to know I'm not getting the most out of the kit.
