why are the bbc and itv players incompatible with my tablet ? its Android ?

the web browser that came with the sony plays bbc I player, but black triangles appear now and then , I downloaded firefox which dosnt play bbc I player at all ,it says the device isnt supported . havnt tried the itv player yet .

Hi,  I use opera mobile as my browser and both sites work brilliantly with that.  Cheers.

I too thought it odd the itv player isn't supported, I emailed itv to ask why the Sony tab isn't supported, they just replied and said they are working on adding more devices all the time. I wonder if it's something simple like the way the tablet identifies itself online?
